The Rename Module will rename elements of the input feed. Sometimes the input data may not be in RSS format (ie. elements aren’t named “title”, “description”, “link” etc.), and you need to rename them accordingly to convert it to an RSS feed. The Rename Module works similar to the RSS Item Builder Module, Item Builder Module and Create RSS Module in Yahoo Pipes.
In this example, lets take an RSS feed from one of the most popular webmaster forums – Digital Point so we can monitor the latest posts.

Instead of displaying the entire post content, lets just make a link to the actual post.
To do this, we need to use the Rename module to rename the “item.link” to “description”. Once we connect our Fetch Feed module to the Rename module, the first drop down box will automatically populate with attributes from our feed. All we need to do is select “item.link” in the first dropdown box and “rename” it to “description”.
