
The Private String Module is used when you need to input sensitive data into your Yahoo Pipe, such as passwords, usernames or codes that you don’t want to share with others.
Private String values are only showed to the creator of the Pipe and can’t be copied. It’s a secure way to hide your data.
The private string will be hidden to other viewers (anyone but the author) in source view, and while the Yahoo Pipe is being run, but it will still be used.
In this example, we’ll use a fake phone number: “604-555-1278”. All we need to do is type it in the Private String Module.

We’ll be able to see the text string because we’re the owner of the Pipe, but if any one else tries to view it, it will look like this:
